The Agriturismo Il Campanile is a working lemon farm with self-catering holiday flats set in beautiful lemon groves on a hillside high above the charming town of Minori, Italy. Owners Ornella and Salvatore Aceto are always friendly, full of energy and enthusiastic about their guests. The Agriturismo Il Campanile offers two fully equipped and furnished vacation apartments in a fully restored and modernized classic farmhouse. There is also a camping area with basic facilities. Both apartments have double bedrooms, air conditioning, heating, a kitchenette, bath with shower, dining area, Wi-Fi, and commanding vistas of the coast. The farm also has a basic "playground" area for visitors with small children. Wi-Fi is available in all parts of the guest area.
The farmhouse has sweeping views of both the coast and of the town of Ravello on the opposite hillside and is surrounded by lovely terraces of lemon groves. The entry gate of Agriturismo Il Campanile is located approximately one-hundred steps up from the hillside road below and approximately six-hundred steps up from the town of Minori. There is mini-bus service approximately every hour during daylight hours to and from the foot of the stairs to The Agriturismo Il Campanile. It is possible to walk up to or down from Ravello by rustic paths and stairs on the hillsides. Minori is on the famous Lemon Road (Sentiero dei Limoni) one of the great hiking and walking paths along the Amalfi Coast. Minori has many fine restaurants, including the world famous Sal de Riso pastry restaurant, interesting shops, seaside cafes and grocery stores. There is regular bus service from Minori to all points north and south on the coast road.

There is a charming picnic area with wood stoves and several tables and benches by the main gate. Below that level there is a large covered banquet hall with seating for up to fifty people for group meetings and events.

Apartments & Areas

Agriturismo Il Campanile offers two modern apartments located in a recently renovated classic farmhouse set high on a hillside lined with terraced lemon groves. Both apartments have double bedrooms, air conditioning, heating, a kitchenette, bath with shower, dining area, Wi-Fi, and commanding vistas of the coast. FREE Wi-Fi is available in all parts of the guest area. The location is tranquil and offers both privacy and beautiful views of the sea, of Minori below, and of Ravello on the opposite hilltop.

Both the upper and lower apartments feature terraces with beautiful views and outdoor dining tables. Each apartment is fully equipped with linens, bath towels, air conditioning, heating, basic kitchen and cooking equipment, a kitchenette for meals and everything you need for a memorable self catering holiday.
The fridge comes stocked with complimentary bottles of wine from our own nearby vineyards and a bottle of our superb lemon syrup for making lemonade and mixed drinks.

The Ibiscus Apartment is on the ground floor of the farmhouse.
It has a wide tiled terrace with views of Ravello, Minori, Amalfi just down the coast and a sweeping vista of the sea.

The apartment has two bedrooms furnished with double sized beds and has a small sofa in the dining area/living room that can fold out to provide an additional bed.

Ortensia Apartment

The Ortensia Apartment is on the upper floor of the farmhouse. It has a a rooftop terrace with fantastic views of Ravello, Minori, Amalfi just down the coast and a sweeping vista of the sea.
The rooftop terrace has near complete privacy for sunbathing. The apartment has a single bedroom furnished with a double sized bed and a second bedroom furnished with two twin or "bunk" beds. The Ortensia Apartment is great for families with small children. It is fully equipped with linens, bath towels, air conditioning, heating, basic kitchen and cooking equipment, and a kitchenette for meals.

There is a picnic area located just by the main gate and the reception area. The picnic area features several large picnic tables with bench seating and an outdoor wood stove. Just below the picnic area, on the terrace below, is a large covered banquet and party hall, set on the terraced hillside, with seating for up to fifty people. The banquet and party area is perfect for groups and for events like baptisms, first communions, Sunday lunches or dinners, traditional feast days, etc.

To make a reservation with Agriturismo Il Campanile directly please contact us directly for dates and availability.
Reservations made directly must be secured by a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the booking. Deposit payments for reservations made directly must be via bank transfer to Agriturismo Il Campanile with the balance amount due at the time of arrival and check-in.

Cancellation policy

Bookings may be canceled with a full refund of the deposit amount up to 30 days prior to the arrival date. Cancellations made within 30 days of the original arrival date will forfeit the deposit amount.

Daily tourist TAX

The City of Minori imposes a visitor and accommodations tax of € 1,00 per guest per day on the first five days of a visitors stay in hotels and other accommodations in Minori.

Where we are

The entry gate and reception area of Agriturismo Il Campanile is located just above the classic Norman era 12th Century bell tower (Il Campanile dell'Annunziata) from which the Agriturismo Il Campanile takes its name. The entry gate is approximately one-hundred steps up from the bell tower and the hillside road below and approximately six-hundred steps up from the town of Minori below. There is mini-bus service to and from the foot of the stairs up to The Agriturismo Il Campanile approximately every hour during daylight hours. All tourism in the Amalfi Coast involves lots of walking and usually a lot of stairs climbing. Many people come to the Amalfi Coast for the mountain trail hiking. Before modern times workers in the lemon groves carried huge heavy baskets of harvested lemons on their heads while walking down the hillsides to boats waiting on the beach below. Even today you will see workers in the lemon groves going up an down hill with heavy loads of lemons at harvest time, even though trucks may wait on the road these days. The reception area is a beautiful oasis of flowers, lemon trees and beautiful plants cared for by owners Ornella and Salvatore Aceto, lifelong residents of Minori. The farm is their pride and joy and they welcome visitors with warmth, joy in the area they live in and its unique setting, culture and history, and great enthusiasm for their guests and making sure that each guest has an easy and enjoyable stay. Guests arriving by train to Salerno or by train or plane to Naples may request a pickup service, price on request.

About Minori

Minori Italy is one of the "undiscovered" gems of the Amalfi Coast. Minori is located just below Ravello and just minutes south of the the town of Amalfi. But Minori remains quiet and charming while Amalfi, Positano, Ravello and Capri are frantic beehives of tourist crowds and congestion. Due to the organization of the bus routes used by most tourists and tour groups to visit the area most tourists to the Amalfi Coast stop their journey at Amalfi before returning to Positano or Sorrento. Visitors to Ravello also usually return to the town of Amalfi rather than continuing south. A very short distance and just a few minutes south of Amalfi lays Minori. A beautiful and charming town with all the flavor, views and appeal of its more famous neighbors but without the crush of crowds and high prices. Visitors can arrive at Minori by bus or car from Amalfi, Salerno or Naples.

By Train

Get off in Salerno railway station, and get a bus or ferry to Amalfi and get off at Minori.
Ferries leave from the terminal on the boardwalk opposite the station.
Buses leave from the main road, one block from the railway station.

By Plane

Landed in Naples Capodichino airport, take a taxi to Minori, or a shuttle to the ferry terminal in Naples (Beverello), and then a ferry to Amalfi. From here you reach Minori (4 km) with a taxi or a bus, direction Salerno and Maiori. You can also take a central bus from Naples to Amalfi.

By Car

Take the A3 motorway (Rome - Naples) and exit at Vietri sul Mare. Then follow the coastal road - SS163 Amalfi Coast - up to Minori (SA).
On the navigator set MINORI, Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Then the road signs "IL CAMPANILE" for about 900 m.

Attractions & Excursions

From the sea, uphill pathways bring you through memorable sceneries immersed in the green and scents of the Coast. Trekking fans find an ideal home here: each itinerary offers new emotions with breath-taking panoramas and moments of wellness.
From the farm house there are walking paths that reach the convent of Saint Nicholas a Forcella, the church of Saint Michele Arcangelo in Torre (small hill suburb of Minori), the town centres of Minori, Maiori and Ravello.
It is also possible to organize excursions to Amalfi, Praiano and Positano and for the more experienced trekking fans a magic experience along the famous Sentiero degli dei (trail of the gods).

The Path of Lemons

The Path of the Lemons starts from Maiori through the village Torre whole arrives in Minori. It's an easy path, just follow it you will appreciate the value.

About Salvatore Aceto and the Il Campanile farm

Ciao everyone! My name is Salvatore Aceto. I and my wife Ornella are the owners of Agriturismo Il Campanile.

Il Campanile is a working lemon farm. I am continuing the work of my father and my family before me on the steep hillsides and terraced lemon groves above the town of Minori on the Amalfi Coast. My farm, Il Campanile, is filled with groves of lemon trees and vineyards and is the joy and labor of my life. I am always working to make the farm better and make my lemons the best in the area. It is not easy to cultivate lemons on the Amalfi Coast.

The hillsides have been terraced by hand over the centuries in an amazing human labor. The terraces are accessed only by rustic stone stairs. Both supplies for the farm and the harvested lemons must be carried by hand and strong backs up and down the stairs on the hillsides. I work in the lemon groves and on the hillsides every day, pruning and cultivating the lemons and managing their growth until harvest time. The result is one of the best IGP lemons on the Amalfi Coast. My wife Ornella and I also maintain vegetable gardens, grow beautiful flowers and produce lovely fruits. We produce wines from our own vineyards and lemoncello from our wonderful lemons. We take great pleasure in welcoming guests to our farm and to providing information and tips for enjoying a unique and memorable vacation on the Amalfi Coast.
